How to play Bop Hole — Eat the City

  1. Drag or swipe anywhere on touch devices to steer your hole across the map.
  2. Use WASD or arrow keys on desktop to steer smoothly in any direction.

Tips

  • Sweep the park you start in: cups, cans, cones and passers-by get you to Street size in seconds.
  • Center larger vehicles and buildings directly over the hole to prevent edge snagging.
  • Keep moving along dense street corridors rather than circling cleared plazas.

What is Bop Hole?

Bop Hole — Eat the City is a 3D arcade growth game set in Sprout Square. You control Nom, a voracious animated aperture that glides across streets, sidewalks, and plazas consuming everything in its path. Every object that drops below ground level awards Grow XP, steadily expanding your radius and unlocking larger city structures to devour before the two-minute round ends.

How to play Bop Hole

Steer your hole using touch drag on mobile or WASD and arrow keys on desktop. An item only sinks when its entire footprint sits within your aperture perimeter; skimming an edge will snag rather than consume. Clear dense clusters of small props early in the round to build momentum, then transition into vehicle lanes and downtown building blocks as your diameter increases.

Tips and growth tiers

Progression follows four distinct growth tiers:

  • Pocket (T1): Begin at 0.8-meter radius eating coffee cups, cans, newspapers, cones, flowerpots, mailboxes and pedestrians.
  • Street (T2): Reach 18 XP to grow to 1.4 meters, clearing benches, bikes, scooters, food carts and small trees.
  • Block (T3): Hit 90 XP to expand to 2.4 meters, swallowing moving cars, taxis, vans, kiosks and corner shops.
  • City (T4): Reach 270 XP to scale up to 4.4 meters, devouring buses, apartment blocks, the fountain and the civic tower.

Sprout Square is busy: people stroll the park and market and scatter when Nom gets close, and traffic runs the two avenues, stopping at the lights. The car you had to dodge earlier is dinner once you are big enough.

Stay in motion throughout the round. When a zone is stripped bare, navigate immediately toward adjacent avenues rather than lingering for stray items.

Frequently asked questions

Can I play Bop Hole in my browser?

Yes. Bop Hole runs entirely in client-side WebGL with no downloads, accounts, or installations required.

Is Bop Hole multiplayer?

City Clash uses seven computer-controlled rivals in a shared arena; it is not online multiplayer. Swallow smaller rivals, avoid bigger ones, and race for the highest score in 120 seconds. If eaten, you keep your score and respawn with half your growth and brief protection. Choose Solo to clear the city without rivals.
