You bat for Rook in a sunset street gully: the bowler runs in, you read the delivery and swing on the left or right side at the moment the ball reaches the bat. Perfect timing sends big sixes into signs, bells and can stacks, ten clean hits in a row start Fever for double runs, and three wickets end the innings.
Bop Cricket is a quick arcade cricket game about one thing: batting timing. There are no overs, fielders or menus. Rook takes guard in a sunset street gully, the bowler runs in, and you have a fraction of a second to swing at the right moment on the right side.
Tap the left or right half of the screen, or use A and D on a keyboard, to swing on that side. Watch the delivery: straight balls, pace, bounce and curve all reach the bat at a different moment. A perfect swing lofts the ball for six into the street targets and a nearly-perfect one still scores four or two. Swing too early, too late or on the wrong side, or miss the ball, and you lose a wicket. Three wickets end the innings.
A golden ball is worth double runs. Paint balloons and street crackers are traps: leave them and they pass harmlessly, swing at a balloon and you get splashed and lose your streak, swing at a cracker and you lose a wicket. Ten clean hits in a row start Fever, which speeds the bowler up and doubles every run until you miss.
